First up a block that when I saw it at the Quilt store I just couldn't resist! Its another block of the month and this was Green month...I jumped in and two others were already completed , Pink and Orange....will post those when I get them finished.
Next up are these really adorable Easter treat bags I hand embroidered and then added a top binding. I used ones burg for the body. I got the tutorial from Amy at Nana Company. She makes the cutest things....saw this and knew I had to make them for some great niece and nephews....adorable.
So then I just HAD to make this cute table runner on Sherri's
Blog, for her monthly club.....first let me explain something, I just couldn't bring myself to throw out the left over pieces of the half square triangles so I incorporated them into my boarders, love the way this turned out....what do you think?
Okay so the day after thanksgiving Home Depot had these beautiful Pointsettia plants and I bought quite a few to pass out to dear friends and I can't believe it but the one I kept for our home is STILL going strong! Look at this! Have you ever had one last this long???
So a couple of weeks ago DH, DD and I went for a drive to the little neighboring town of Star and visted my most favorite junk store. Love this place. Anyway I found a few treasures that totally made me one giddy little lady! First there is this Santa display piece. My neighbor who is going to be 90 has one of these that used to be her mothers!!! She treasures it and I have always admired it...and there it was on the counter 50% off and in PERFECT condition !!! I snapped that baby up for a meir $6!!!! And then I couldn't believe my Mind!!!! I found this OLD FASHIONED Elf on the Shelf....cute don't you think? I REMEMBER having one of these!!! And then I stopped right in my tracks....this pencil....I OWNED one exactly like this many many years ago!!! Grabbed it up too....yep it came home with me. Lastly buried under a bunch of stuff was this really adorable doll quilt. I gasped when I saw it and knew it would know love in my home so it went on the counter as well....totally hand stitched....I only paid $8 for it. I could cry. So that has been about it on my end.....let me know what you think!!! leave some love. TTFN!!!!
I can see why you wanted to make the basket block. Your table runner is fantastic. Using the left over triangle squares worked. Your antique finds are great. I love the doll quilt. Hugs
